JJ Hardy & Sons has purchased its first ever 3D printer as it looks to expand its manufacturing capability.

The five-figure investment into the Ultimaker S5 3D Printer will help the company provide a more streamlined, cost-effective service to its customers.

Utilising the world’s most advanced 3D printing software, the machine has already seen JJ Hardy deliver industrial-class results for a number of client projects, including bespoke parts for a major rail operator.

Andy Pailor, managing director of JJ Hardy & Sons, said: “The investment into the Ultimaker S5 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the business.

“Having boasted the UK’s first ever CNC Milling machine, JJ Hardy is a company known for its commitment to engineering and manufacturing innovation and this further outlines our commitment to embracing the latest technological advances and delivering an all-round better service to our customers.”
