A need for a reliable supplier which could help SE Trains Ltd overhaul a series of safety critical components led the train operator to J J Hardy & Sons.

The company required a supplier which it could trust to refurbish the components in a matter of days, which is where J J’s just-in-time production promise made the company really stand out above its competitors.

Within a day of the order being confirmed, J J Hardy took delivery of the components at its Hartlepool facility and in a staggering 8 days, the Tread Plates, Shoe Arms and “H” Bracket were all fully refurbished and returned to SE Trains in Dartford, Kent.

Arriving primed to be fitted with the rolling stock and bogies, the parts were then reinstalled on trains actively running on the South East rail network.
