William Cook Defence

A working relationship spanning 18 years, J J Hardy & Sons and William Cook Defence have enjoyed a fruitful relationship since the pair were introduced at an NDI meeting.

Based in Stanhope, County Durham, the company is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of track and armour for military vehicles employing over 125 people.

The most recent project between the pair arose when William Cook Defence found itself urgently requiring a series of bespoke metal components for an order of tank tracks.

J J Hardy & Sons was able to move projects around on its CNC machines to facilitate the order and turn around 10 off-batch components for the quality team to inspect before completing the order and delivering them to the client on-time and on budget.
